Gary Oldman is joining the cast of the new film 'Batman Begins'.

Gary Oldman is joining the cast of the new film 'Batman Begins'.

The English actor is set to play Lieutenant James Gordon in film - set at the start of the Cape Crusader's journey.

This is, of course, the man who becomes Commissioner Gordon.

Shooting is already underway on the film in Iceland.

Other cast members include Liam Neeson, Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Katie Holmes.

Oldman is set to hit screens as Sirius Black in 'Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban', this summer.
