Norwich Seeking CCTV Company

Norwich City Council to find a company that will operate security cameras across the city.

Members of the Norwich City Council have confirmed that they are starting the process of looking for a company that will operate security cameras across the city.

 

The move comes after city hall bosses warned that they could no longer afford to operate the city’s CCTV system.

 

The existing system, which was installed in 1996, records at all hours and retains footage for 28 days.

 

Cabinet members are set to put a contract out to tender in hopes of attracting a proposal for a more cost-efficient service.
