Advice was given, after the Pope could visibly been seen to have gained weight.
Doctors were concerned for the Pope, as he has just one lung functioning. He is continually working and does not take time off from his duties. This will undoubtedly cause stress for the 78 year old Pope and reducing the intake of pasta will help to keep his weight down and his health up.
It is not unknown that the Pope enjoys pizza and he has been reported as saying that he misses being able to go out for a pizza without being recognised.
In a Mexican TV interview, the Pope said that while he did not mind being Pope he missed his anonymity.
