Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger have ended their relationship.
The F1 racing driver and the singer and US X Factor judge called time on their four-year romance due to their hectic work schedules, reports the Sun.
The pair, who met at the MTV Awards in Munich in 2007, temporarily split up in January over the same issue, but sources tell the newspaper that this time itÂ’s for good.
"Nicole and Lewis have tried to make it work but realised it's just not happening so have called it a day once and for all. They've spoken at length about it but agreed there's no point as they never see each other. They spend their whole time on opposite sides of the world."
"Although they came to an amicable decision, Nicole is actually devastated about it. She thought Lewis was the one."
Distance has also been rumoured to play a part in the split, with the McLaren driver living in Geneva, Switzerland, while the X Factor judge spends her time in Hollywood.
Work-wise, the former Pussycat Dolls singer has been hugely busy with the filming of the musical competition, alongside an appearance in Men In Black III, as well as her recent album and singles.
Hamilton returned to the racing spotlight last weekend, taking second place at the Korean Gran Prix.
The source added:
"They still genuinely care for each other but they've decided to be adult about it and go it alone. There are no hard feelings."
