Newham 5G Mast Approval

Newham Council approves application to install a 5G mast in Coolfin Road.

A new 5G mast is set to be installed on an existing rooftop opposite the junction with Murray Square following the approval from Newham Council. 

 

The new mast, which will be operated by EE and Three is designed to improve the current 2G, 3G and 4G services in the area. 

 

According to the planning statement, the application was approved because the site that has been chosen is the "least visually intrusive solution" and because there is no need for new work on the ground as the project will be using an existing building. 

 

It added that the council is satisfied any possible harm to the surrounding area would be mitigated if the applicant stuck to the exact plans it submitted.
