Matt Hancock launches the new UK-India Tech Partnership in India.

Matt Hancock, the UK’s secretary for digital, culture and sports is promoting Britain’s technology sector during his visit to India. He launched the new UK-India Tech Partnership that aims to develop a new UK-India Tech Hub in Delhi that will pair tech institutions, businesses and universities in the two countries.
According to Mr Hancock, the Midlands Engine will link with the Indian state of Maharashtra and the Northern Powerhouse will be linked to Karnataka.
He said: “The UK and India are global leaders in tech and by deepening our ties we can open up huge opportunities for business and citizens in both countries.
“Our new UK-India Tech Partnership will not only lay the foundations for new investment, growth and jobs, but it will also boost collaboration on the technologies of the future that will improve and revolutionise our lives.”
