Dave Grohl reveals plans for eighth studio album...

Alternative rock band, Foo Fighters, have announced that they are to begin writing their eighth studio album in the new year.
In what has been a busy year for the band, after releasing their album Wasting Light and a hugely successful tour, they have already started to come up with some ideas and have booked time in their schedule to record the new album in 2012.
Front man Dave Grohl told fans on the band's blog:
"WeÂ’re not finished yet. There are still more shows to play, more songs to write, more albums to record, for years to come.
"I mean if you would have told me 17 years ago that in 2012 I would be writing songs for our eighth studio album...well."
It was also revealed recently that the band are up for six Grammy awards, with the ceremony taking place in February 2012. Grohl continued, saying:
"ItÂ’s truly inspiring, and it makes us feel like the luckiest band in the world. So thanks. It means everything to us."
The bandÂ’s nominations include Album of the Year, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song.
