US TV network NBC has cancelled a new Bill Cosby show following a string of sexual assault allegations against the star. In a statement, the broadcaster said that the project is “no longer in development.”
No comment has been made as for the reason of the show’s cancelation but the network added that the production had not yet started.
Meanwhile, Netflix postponed a special show with the 77-year-old comedian after model and TV host Janice Dickinson made claims that she was sexually assaulted by the Cosby Show star in 1982.
She told Entertainment Tonight that Cosby gave her wine and a pill in a hotel room. She continued: "The next morning I woke up and I wasn't wearing my pyjamas.”
"I remembered before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted."
Actress Barbara Bowman also claimed she was assaulted by the comedian on multiple occasions in 1985 when she was 17.
Cosby is yet to make a comment on the allegation. However, his lawyer, Martin Singer said that Dickinson’s story was “false and outlandish.”
