CK Hutchison Networks UK Ltd has submitted plans to build a 20-metre 5G mast at Gresham Road, Slough Trading Estate.
The local authorities have previously granted prior approval, meaning the local council is essentially on board with the plans in principle. In the application documents, CK Hutchison Networks UK said that that location has been identified as being necessary for its business development and meets its specific technical and operations requirements.
In the design and access statement, it states: “The development will allow this unused and forgotten back land site to be brought back into use as a sustainable, relevant and important development site family dwellings.
“The proposed buildings are ’good’ neighbour to adjacent buildings by minimising loss of daylight or overlooking.”
Martin McNamee, chair of the planning group, said: “Consequently, we have concerns about the proposed change of use until more details are provided to illustrate how the takeaway will function without any detrimental impact on neighbours, traffic, and food hygiene.”
