Most Haunted TV psychic Derek Acorah charged after car smash

Celebrity psychic Derek Acorah has been charged with careless driving after a car smash in Merseyside.

Most Haunted TV psychic Derek Acorah was involved in a car collision over the weekend – an action which, it has now been revealed, has seen him charged with careless driving and failure to supply a specimen of breath for analysis.

According to police report, his red Nissan 370Z collided with a Ford Ka near his Merseyside home.

While the 63-year-old TV psychic was not harmed, the passengers of the other vehicle, a 53-year-old female driver and 21-year-old male passenger were taken to the hospital with whiplash.

The TV personality has been charged by police under his real name of Derek Johnson. A police spokesman said: "Derek Johnson, aged 63, from Scarisbrick, Southport, has been charged with careless driving and failing to supply a specimen of breath for analysis."

He was released on bail and was scheduled to appear at Sefton Magistrates Court on December 30.
