After getting involved in a car crash on Scarisbrick New Road, Southport on December 2013, Derek Acorah has now been banned from driving and fined £1,000.
The 64-year-old TV mystic, who is best known for appearing on the series Most Haunted, admitted to driving without due care and attention and failing to provide a breath test.
According to report, he sped around a roundabout before crashing into another car leaving the driver with whiplash, cuts, and bruising.
Senior district Crown prosecutor Philippa Kennedy said: "Derek Johnson's (Derek’s real name) driving on that day could have caused serious injuries.
"Thankfully, the driver in the other car escaped without serious harm but did suffer several injuries and now has a fear of driving.
"Failing to give a breath sample is also a serious offence - no one is above the law.
"Johnson has received a substantial fine and driving ban which should send a strong message to all those who fail to drive without the required care and put others at risk."
