After three decades, the legendary comedy group Monty Python will reunite for a show scheduled on July 1, 2014. The tickets, which prices range from £27.50 to £95, will go on sale on November 25, 2013 at 10am.
During the press conference, (which was hosted by Warwick Davis) Eric Idle, Michael Palin, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones confirmed that their comeback will focus more on the team’s “greatest hits” although new materials might also be included.
John Cleese said: "People really do want to see the old hits. But we don't want to do them in a predictable way, so it's going to be a mix up I think."
The show will also pay tribute to Graham Chapman, the sixth Python member who died in 1989.
So far, the group does not intend to extend the show or to go on tour. Idle told reporters: "We just thought it would be fun to do one and see if we were still funny. That is our intention so far - just to do the O2 and see if we can fill it."
