Reese Witherspoon claims being a mother has helped her choose better movie roles.
The 'Legally Blonde' star, who has two children, Ava, five, and Deacon, one, with husband Ryan Phillippe, is so determined to devote as much time as possible to her family she has to pick her film roles carefully, meaning she always chooses the better ones.
She said: "Motherhood's great. I don't work as much now, because I can't. I'm too busy with the kids. I want to spend all the time I have with them. So it's changed in that sense. I have to be very particular about what I do because I only do one movie a year. But that's actually better. It really helps you make good, clear decisions as regards what's best for the family."
The Hollywood beauty also said she and Ryan, who married in 1999, always put their family first.
She revealed: "Me and Ryan talk a lot. Our marriage and family comes first, before everything. So every decision we make, we talk about endlessly first. So it's all a collective thing."
