Rolling Stones fans will be given a chance to own a piece of Sir Mick Jagger, as the singer’s hair will be auctioned in London in July. The lock of hair was kept by the family of ex-girlfriend Chrissie Shrimpton and is now expected to sell for at least £1,500
Sir Mick and Shrimpton started dating while the singer was attending London School of Economics and while living in Kilburn, north London. The two were together during the early years of the Rolling Stones global stardom.
While the two were dating, reportedly they visited Shrimpton’s grandmother where the singer had an impromptu haircut. The grandmother saved a lock of Jagger’s hair.
It is believed that the grandmother passed on the lock of hair to an aunt. When the aunt died, the lock of hair was given to Shrimpton who is now 67 years old.
