A new report on Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 released by Dutch experts states that there is “no evidence of technical or human error.” The tragedy was blamed on “numerous objects” that hit the plane in mid air, piercing the aircraft at a high velocity.
There were no recorded emergencies on board, no mechanical problems and the pilots didn't make any mistakes, according to the report.
The findings match claims made immediately after the event that MH17 was hit by missile shrapnel. The plane was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it crashed in Eastern Ukraine.
Investigators relied on cockpit data, air traffic control and images, as the crash site in eastern Ukraine remains too dangerous to access amid ongoing fights between rebels and government troops.
All 298 people on board died.
Although it has already been established that the plane was hit by “numerous objects” the question remains; who fired the missiles?
Both sides in this conflict use the same weapon that is believed to have brought the plane down. However, no one has come forward yet to admit responsibility.
