Two of UK’s well-loved boybands, McFly and Busted, have just made dreams come true as they announce that they will be joining together to create a supergroup called McBusted. The supergroup will perform as one in a series of UK arena shows next year.
Charlie Simpson, Busted’s former frontman, will not join the new band for a run of UK arena shows in April and May in 2014. He wrote on Twitter: “Just wanted to say that though I am not joining Matt Willis and James Bourne on their new venture I wish them all the very best with it!”
However, Harry, Danny, Doug, Tom, Matt and James will return as one with a collection of both bands’ greatest hits.
Speaking about the merge, Busted’s Matt Willis said: “It’s been nearly ten years since Busted split. That’s a good amount of time for memories to gel in your mind - it’s fun to reminisce now, the right moment to revisit those songs. And to do it with McFly makes it more of an event. The coming together of two forces!”
