Martine McCutcheon declared bankrupt
Martine McCutcheon received overwhelming support from her fans after news of her bankruptcy surfaced.

Martine McCutcheon, who is popularly known for being the star of the movie Love Actually, has been declared bankrupt.
The actress filed for bankruptcy at Kingston-Upon-Thames County Court under her given name, Martine Kimberley Sherri Ponting. She will be discharged from bankruptcy on January 2nd, 2014.
McCutcheon isn’t the first high profile celebrity to file bankruptcy over the recent years. Westlife star Shane Filan and Kerry Katona of Atomic Kitten suffered the same fate.
David Standish, who was appointed together with Wendy Wardell of KPMB joint trustees in bankruptcy said: “Ms McCutcheon petitioned for her own bankruptcy at Kingston-Upon-Thames County Court.
“We are now responsible for administering her estate and are in the process of establishing the individual’s assets and liabilities; the largest creditor being Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.”
McCutcheon is best known for her role in EastEnders as Tiffany. In 2002, she won a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. In 2009, he published her novel titled The Mistress, which debuted in the top ten of the bestsellers list.
After news about her bankruptcy broke, the actress received overwhelming support and messages from her fans. She said: "I can't begin to express my love and gratitude for such kind and encouraging messages. I'm truly so touched. I love you guys. Thank you."
