Mark to leave TOWIE?
Latest Essex reality star threatens to quit...
09:39 03 August 2011
The Only Way is Essex star Amy Childs has just quit the show and now it looks like Mark Wright will be following in her footsteps.
The Sun is reporting that the night club promoter has threatened to leave if he isnÂ’t offered more money.
An insider told the paper:
"There is disquiet over pay. A lot of big names have been offered serious money for other shows.
"Mark is now seriously considering his future on the show."
The publication is also claiming that each star of the BAFTA-winning reality show is paid just £50 a day, with most of their income coming from sponsorship and media deals.
Amy Childs, who also stars in the ITV2 programme, announced on 2 August that she will be leaving the series.
The 21-year-old told Now magazine:
"I've had a brilliant time on TOWIE and loved every minute of it. I will really miss everyone.
"I so wanted to stay on, but I'm looking forward to what the future will bring and it's very exciting."
Her management is refusing to comment on reports that she has been paid £200,000 to appear on Celebrity Big Brother this August.
The Only Way is Essex follows the daily lives of a well-off group of 20-somethings living in Essex and has become something of a surprise hit for the Channel.
The reality series is set to return in the autumn.
