52-year-old Scot Young was the man who died after falling 60ft on to metal railings in an exclusive London square, it has now been revealed. Police confirmed that the multi-millionaire died on Monday after he fell from a fourth-floor window.
The incident, which took place a year after a protracted legal battle with his former wife ended at the High Court, is not being treated as suspicious.
Young was ordered by the court to pay his ex £20 million after it was found that he hid money in offshore tax havens and was not as bankrupt as he made out.
At the conclusion of one of Britain’s longest-running and most bitter divorces, Michelle described the judgment disgraceful claiming that Mr Young was still “worth billions” and vowed to lodge an appeal.
His former wife called him a “powerful maniac who felt he could hide his vast wealth”. The couple had two daughters and were married for 16 years before separating in 2006.
In recent months, the tycoon moved in with his girlfriend in Montagu Place.
