One Direction raking it in after US success...
09:43 16 April 2012
One Direction have reportedly earned £10million over the past seven months.
The group, made up of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, have apparently each been paid £2m by record label boss, Simon Cowell.
The band have so far conquered the US, becoming the first British band to ever debut with a Number 1 album, and are now touring Australia in an effort to crack the market there.
A source revealed to The People:
"Simon Cowell wants them to know what they deserve. They have been a massive success, what they have achieved is phenomenal. Simon thinks they are the hardest-working people in pop at the moment.
"They have made him an absolute fortune and he is incredibly proud. He always saw potential in them and now it's paying off. Girls across the globe simply love them."
The band only came third in the 2010 edition of the X Factor but have since eclipsed their competition.
Their debut single went straight in to the top spot, and their album Up All Night became the fastest selling debut album in the UK.
Thy also recently sold out their headline concert at New York CityÂ’s Madison Square Garden in under an hour.
