The EFL has announced that the iFollow service, or any in-house streaming service that clubs might use, will be available to stream some matches to UK and Ireland based customers.
In a message, the company said: “EFL Clubs will be able to live-stream in the UK and Ireland any league match via their respective iFollow or equivalent service that takes place outside the blocked hours of 14.45-17.15 on Saturday afternoons and that is not broadcasted live on Sky Sports. Fixtures taking place on Bank Holidays or Easter will be unavailable for streaming. Sky Sports will have the right to stream the same Championship fixtures to subscribers across their interactive and digital services.”
For domestic and Irish fans of Leeds, they will be able to stream the service through the official Leeds United app or by connecting to LUTV on the club’s official website, leedsunited.com.
Last year, LUTV started streaming live matches to overseas customers but fans in the UK and Ireland were not given access to those matches.
