London Firm Create App to Tackle Food Waste

QVentures announces six figure investment into Kitche app.

London tech investment firm Ventures has announced a six-figure investment into an app that will tackle food waste in the country. It partners with Kitche, a start-up social impact company that specialises in reducing food waste while helping customers save money. 

 

The app categorises products and offers users food reminders automatically to ensure that they don’t forget them or let them go to waste. 

 

QVentures managing partner, Robert Walsh, said: “It’s fantastic to see innovative technology companies such as Kitche taking action towards creating a more sustainable food industry.

Kitche founder, Alex Vlassopulos, added: “We created Kitche after a conversation with friends in the park about real-life problems with home food waste.

 

“We are excited to take Kitche to the next phase with the help of the QVentures investment.”
