Lloyds TSB Scotland has said customers will get an extra a 0.25 per cent interest on their Plus current accounts.

The Plus account, which currently offers of 4.75 per cent AER, will give customers a five per cent return from June 7th onwards.

Mike Jones, director of Lloyds TSB Scotland's branch network, said: "We're passing on the interest rate benefits to our Plus customers."

Last week the Bank of England raised interest rates by a quarter of a per cent.

The offer is available to Plus customers if they pay more than 2,000 a month into their current account, if you put 1,000 or more in the interest rate drops to 4.33 per cent.

These customers will also be eligible for an authorised interest free overdraft rate, guaranteed until the end of August 2005.
