Life Expectancy in America on a Steady Rise
Life expectancy in America is actually on a steady rise.

A recent study complied by the University of Southern California and its master in gerontology department revealed some exciting news: life expectancy in America is actually on a steady rise. The report, also backed by reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, confirmed that 1 in 10 girls born today will live past 100, and 1 in 20 boys born today will live past the same age milestone. It doesn’t stop there either. Life expectancy continued to rise from around 60 years a few years ago to 78.8 years in 2012.
While the numbers are rising, experts believe that life expectancy will reach a more mature stage of development in a few years. The rise is due to better disease control, more vaccines and changes to the way we live our lives.
