Liam Neeson attended the American Theater Wing’s Annual Gala at the Plaza Hotel in New York on Monday night to honour Redgrave acting dynasty that greatly contributed to theatre.
The 60-year old ‘Taken’ actor showed up with the mother and sister of his late wife, Natasha Richardson. Reportedly Neeson was honoured together with Natasha, Vanessa, and Joely. Rachel Kempson, Lynn Redgrave, Corin, and Michael also made it to the list.
Executive director of the organisation Heather Hitchens talked about the event saying, as reported by the Mail Online: “I don't know of another family with six generations of actors in it.”
Neeson lost his wife in a freak accident while she was skiing in Canada in 2009. They were married for 15 years and had two sons together.
In an interview with Esquire magazine, Nesson talked about his loss last year saying: “That's the weird thing about grief. You can't prepare for it. You think you're gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work.
“It hits you in the middle of the night – well, it hits me in the middle of the night. I'm out walking. I'm feeling quite content. And it's like suddenly, boom. It's like you've just done that in your chest.”
