Sound Leisure unveils £15k limited edition jukeboxes that will soon go on sale in Harrods. 

 

Leeds-based company Sound Leisure has produced a limited edition jukebox with a whopping price tag of £15,000. 

 

Only 50 SL45 Vinyl Peacock Jukeboxes will be made and will be sold exclusively in Harrods. The retro music machines were 100per cent hand made in Leeds. 

 

Managing director Chris Balck said: "To manufacture one of these machines we've got woodworking, metalwork, casting, electronics - all sorts of different materials and skillsets.

 

"You can find people with the vast majority of those skills within this area, so we try and manufacture it all ourselves here on-site in Cross Gates.

 

"We wave the flag wherever we can. We're proud to build in Leeds and that's why we've stayed here for over 40 years."

 

Explaining as to why the jukeboxes will be exclusively sold in Harrods, he said: "We have supplied jukeboxes to Harrods for over three decades and as a proud British manufacturer we are honoured to have our latest jukebox on display and available exclusively through them.

 

"The Peacock jukebox is hand-built to the highest standards, will last a lifetime and beyond and looks stunning. It will definitely be the focal point in any location."
