Leeds Manufacturing Photography Competition
EEF holds a competition for aspiring industrial photographers to shine on forward-looking and innovative companies.

This year, EEF’s annual Manufacturing Photography Competition is focusing on “capturing the bright future of British manufacturing and championing the next generation of talent and technology in the sector.†It is open to young, amateur and professional photographers and will end on 30 September. The winners, which will get a share of the £5,000 prize fund and the chance to having their photos on display in the national and local media, will be announced at an awards event in London in November.

Five Leeds-based companies that have opened their door to participating photographers are Hopkins Catering Equipment, printing business Northern Flags, medical device manufacturer Brandon Medical, air handling equipment manufacturer Sovereign Air Movement, and electronics manufacturer Daletech Electronics.

EEF’s membership engagement director, north, Richard Halstead, said: “This competition shines a light on forward-looking and innovative companies. We are delighted that these businesses are opening their doors to local photographers, who can tell the story of UK manufacturing success by capturing images of technology, people and innovation in industry.â€
