Latest couple leave Strictly

Paul Daniels was the latest star to be kicked off Strictly Come Dancing after receiving the lowest number of viewer votes.

The 72-year-old magician was joined in the bottom two by singer Michelle Williams.

Judges branded his performance as “infantile”, “diabolical” and “wooden”, choosing to save the former Destiny’s Child singer over Daniels.

The veteran entertainer enjoyed his stint on the show, saying:

"IÂ’ve had a wonderful time on Strictly Come Dancing, I really have. If I hadn't had a good time, I'd tell you."

The surprise survivor of the public vote was MP Anne Widdecombe, who was the first contestant to be told they would be returning next week.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Friday and Saturday nights on BBC One.
