Latest Apprentice fired
Axed candidate branded a 'poor negotiator' by Lord Sugar...
10:20 02 December 2010
Laura Moore has become the ninth candidate to be fired from the Apprentice after failing to impress Lord Sugar in the boardroom.
The 22-year-old found herself in the bottom three after her team, Apollo failed to win the treasure hunt task.
Both teams had a list of ten items which they had to identify, find and buy within a time limit.
The boys on Team Synergy only managed to buy seven out of the ten items, compared to the girls who found them all, but Synergy triumphed in the task due to their bartering skills.
As a reward, Jamie Lester, Chris Bates and Stuart Baggs travelled to Paris for the weekend on the Eurostar.
Despite purchasing all of the listed products, including a white truffle, a set of dinner plates and a Singer sewing machine, the girls paid over the odds for many of them and were branded "poor negotiators" by Lord Sugar.
Team Leader, Liz Locke, chose to bring team members Moore and Stella English back into the boardroom, where they argued over who was to blame.
Tensions mounted between English and the other two, but it was young business developer, Laura, that got the boot from Lord Sugar, after weeks of poor performances.
Lord Sugar summed up, by saying: "You're not for me. Maybe it's because you're so young.
"You've had a lot of chances. That is my decision; you're fired!"
The Apprentice continues, Wednesdays at 9pm on BBC One.
