Popular ‘Born This Way’ singer Lady Gaga has cancelled US tour dates due to hip surgery

Pop sensation Lady Gaga has had to cancel her remaining tour dates for America and Canada due to a hip injury. The star, who is from the US, will undergo surgery to try and fix the problem which is thought to be related to her joints.
The reason for Gaga cancelling her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour also relates to the fact that she will need to rest after her operation.
A statement issued on her website said: “Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled.
It confirmed that “she will need surgery” as well as “strict down time to recover”. The post explained the situation saying that “this unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.”
Singer and song-writer Gaga, who is 26-years-old, and who was born in New York, performed in Canada on Monday but then had to cancel her following concert in Detroit earlier this week.
It is understood that those people who have bought tickets to see Gaga perform and have been affected by the cancellation will be reimbursed.
Lady Gaga, who has achieved much success throughout her career, is popularly known for songs such as; Poker Face, Bad Romance, The Edge of Glory and Born This Way.
