Kylie named Woman of the Year

Kylie Minogue has been named Woman of the Year by Britain's Glamour magazine.

The 'Spinning Around' singer - who has bravely battled breast cancer - was not present at the London ceremony but thanked fans in a moving message.

She said: "The last year has been my least public but, in many ways, the most.

"Your support has been an enormous help and I hope to be back with you all in person very soon."

Charlotte Church won the Solo Artist of the Year award, while British actress Billie Piper scooped Best UK TV actress.

Other winners at the star-studded bash included Sharon Osbourne, who was honoured as TV Personality of the Year and Davina McCall, who took the Presenter of the Year award.
