Knightley's stage wish

'Pride and Prejudice' actress Keira Knightley is desperate to do theatre.
However, the star admits she is too scared to go for a stage role because she has failed auditions in the past.
Keira, whose mother is playwright Sharman MacDonald, confessed to Britain's Times magazine: "I'm desperate to do theatre. The trouble is, I never got offered anything. I used to go up for auditions and never get them. The last one was when I was 15-years-old and I completely blew it.
"It's a hard transition. And the more successful I get in films, the more afraid I become."
Keira - who was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the big screen adaptation of the Jane Austen classic - says she would also love to star in one of her mother's plays - but she thinks it would be too "corny".
She revealed: "I'd love to for sentimental reasons and because she's a good writer, but that would be a bit corny for my first outing."
