Kitten Pinder (real name Kathryn) is set to appear in court.

Reports broke today that she is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court accused of non-payment of fines.

The case was adjourned by magistrates until Wednesday - and it could be postponed again.

But they could also issue a warrant which would force Kitten to come to court.

While not paying fines is not a criminal offence, if you refuse you can be held in contempt of court and imprisoned.

The reality show contestant seemed to have met her match trying to defy Big Brother, but the courts have the power to take her away from friends and family for a lot longer than ten weeks.

Producers at the show could not say if Kitten will be removed from the house to attend court.

"If there was something serious happening, we would take a view on what would be in the housemate's best interest," said a spokesman
