Kerry's speed revelation

Kerry Katona claims her mother fed her speed and told her it was sherbet.

The TV star, estranged wife of Brian McFadden, alleges she was given the amphetamine by her mother, Sue, when she was still a teenager.

She revealed in Britain's OK! magazine: "I was 14 and only allowed to have supervised visits with my mum. We were in a pub. I walked into the toilet and said: 'What's that, mum?' She said it was sherbet and put a load of it into my mouth.

"I didn't know what it was and I only found out later it was speed."

Kerry, 26, continued to take drugs with her mother because she thought it would win her love.

She confessed: "Taking drugs became a weekend thing for me, mainly when I was with my mum.

"When I was in Atomic Kitten, I got money, I came home and I'd buy it and everyone would want to be around me, especially my mum. I felt I had to buy my mum's love."
