Keira Knightley scraps lap-dancing lessons

Keira Knightley had lap-dancing lessons to prepare for her new movie.

The stunning actress had to have lessons as she struggled to get the right moves to perform an erotic dance in upcoming film 'Domino'.

However, the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star stopped after a couple of sessions at raunchy strip clubs, saying she felt uncomfortable.

She then asked film bosses for a body double to perform the explicit scenes.

She said: "I could do the top half, but not the bottom. I had two lap-dancing lessons in strip clubs. But I got too scared and got a double. I couldn't bend in the way you're meant to bend."

The 19-year-old star also admitted that her stunning good looks have helped her get some parts, but says they have a negative affect on her self-esteem.

She told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "I'm not stupid. I know my face has got me jobs - that's just the way it is.

"But what happens is you sit for hours in front of a mirror every morning on set covering up your imperfections, so you get very aware of them.

"It's a horrible way to be, because I just want to be an actress."
