Keira Knightley love split

Keira Knightley has split from boyfriend Jamie Dornan.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' beauty reportedly broke down in "a river of tears" after the couple's two-year romance collapsed last week.

The 20-year-old brunette, who decided her relationship with the model had come to an end, is currently being comforted by friends.

A source is quoted in Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "Keira is devastated. She really thought what she and Jamie had was love, but it just wasn't meant to be.

"They both wanted it to work but in the end it was untenable. They were having crisis talks almost daily and a decision was reached to finally call it a day."

Friends claim Keira finally decided to call time on the relationship because the couple's hectic work schedules meant the pair were seeing less and less of each other.

A source added: "While the idea of them both sharing the same profession was romantic, the reality is that they were starting to see less and less of each other."

The couple met on a photo shoot in 2003.
