Actress crowned dancing Queen...

Former Eastenders star Kara Tointon has been crowned Strictly Come Dancing champion, it was revealed at the weekend.

The stunning actress and her partner Artem Chingvintsev beat off strong competition from Matt Baker, who graciously said Kara deserved to win.

When told the news, Tointon and Chingvintsev set tongues wagging as they hugged and kissed each other – it has long been reported that the pair are dating.

She said of her dance partner after being crowned winner on Saturday night: “Thank you to this one. He's been absolutely wonderful, he's made it happen through his mad work.

"I have made the most wonderful friend for life and this has been the most special experience of my life.”

Whilst he said: “Thank you, Kara, you’re amazing.”

The actress had been battling a wrist injury following a fall during a rehearsal, but still carried on to complete a flawless performance on Saturday night.

It has since been reported that she had to be rushed to hospital the following morning after an arm injury.
