Jolie and Pitt confirm baby

Angelina Jolie is expecting Brad Pitt's baby, it has been confirmed.

Jolie is said to have told a charity aid worker in the Dominican Republic, where she is filming 'The Good Shepherd', "Yes, I'm pregnant".

The couple's spokespeople have since admitted the rumours are true, according to America's People magazine.

It is not known yet when Pitt and Jolie's first biological child is due.

Last month, the smitten pair made the first steps towards becoming a family when Pitt filed papers to legally adopt Jolie's adopted children - Maddox and Zahara.

The move would see the tots surname change to Jolie-Pitt.

It was also rumoured earlier this week Pitt had called his ex wife, Jennifer Aniston, to tell her Jolie was pregnant with his child - before she found out from the media.

A source told Britain's Heat magazine: "Jen told Brad she wished him and Angie all the happiness in the world, and said she hoped the baby would be healthy and Angie's pregnancy would go smoothly, too. But after she hung up she cried her eyes out."
