There are a few major elements to consider when trying to decide on a course. The first being location and college. Where are you going to study? Do you want to study somewhere close to home, or move far away? The next thing you have to look at is what kind of content are you going to be studying while getting your degree? Next, are you going to enjoy the different modules throughout the duration of the course? Finally, you should look at the job options that come from the completion of the course. Will you be able to get a great job following the completion of your studies?
The Degree
A degree that has grown in popularity recently is learning, design and technology. The course will teach you about how to implement technology into learning and create interactive education systems. Getting a Master of Arts in Learning, Design and Technology can open the door to a number of different job opportunities. But what are they?
Learning Strategist
The role of a learning strategist is extremely rewarding and fulfilling. In this job, your responsibilities will include designing and creating learning plans for kids. From elementary school to college, you'll be aiding students with learning difficulties by showing them a unique and engaging way to learn. Your focused approach will be able to give the child the attention they need to succeed. One of the biggest things you'll do as a learning strategist is seeing what traditional education methods do not work for the child and overcoming them. You'll work closely with teachers and parents to try to get the most out of the student as possible. You can also give the child advice on how to go about their day. This can include the likes of studying advice or organizational tips.
Training Director
A training director will see you design and conduct training programs for companies. These programs will be specially designed so that employees can improve their skills and get the most out of themselves. It's a job very much on the rise, as companies are now looking for new ways to teach their employees. The responsibilities you will have are the following:

- Understand employee needs
- Evaluate employees
- Research effective training methods
Performance Assessment Manager
A performance assessment manager will see you take up a role in a company's human resources department. Your primary role will see you evaluate and assess an employee's performance. This consists of a relationship between you and the employee, where you will be expected to get the most out of them. It is a role that requires a lot of communication and understanding. You'll work closely with the employee, trying to help them develop and understand their mistakes. The times that a performance assessment manager is most required are following a probation period when an employee has begun lowering their performance or annual evaluation.
