Jimmy Savile’s headstone is removed as relatives are “emotionally drained”

Based on reports, Jimmy Savile’s family has decided to remove the TV presenter’s £4k triple headstone to show respect for public opinion.

 

This came in the wake of several sex abuse claims. 

 

Relatives said in a statement: “Members of the family of Sir Jimmy Savile have decided to remove his headstone from the grave in Scarborough.

 

It continued: “The family members are deeply aware of the impact that the stone remaining there could have on the dignity and sanctity of the cemetery.

 

“Out of respect to public opinion, to those who are buried there, and to those who tend their graves and visit there, we have decided to remove it.”

 

Sources connected to the TV presenter’s family confirmed to The Mirror that sexual harassment allegations have brought them tremendous emotional stress.

 

Jimmy’s grave, which can now only be identified by several bunches of flowers, will apparently remain unmarked until the outcome of various investigations.
