JD Wetherspoon, the pub chain, has stated that they have seen an increase in sales. This relates to their like-for-like sales for the period of 11 weeks from July 14th this year.
The group has said that these sales increased by 3.5per cent.
Also for this time span, that there was an increase of 6.2per cent in regards to total sales.
The new results are better than what the group thought they would get, as they beat the 800-outlet chain’s expectations.
It is understood that things like hot drinks, such as tea, as well as real ale have been seeing good demand, as reported by The Guardian. This is as well as steak meals.
On Wednesday, 24th July, the group said it was in line to get ‘a slightly better outcome’ for the financial year.
JD Wetherspoon is often referred to as ‘Wetherspoon’s’ by many people. It is believed that the company has at least 880 pubs at present.
