James McAvoy’s new horror movie It: Chapter 2 has hit the big screen!

It has been creating abuzz on the internet. The movie is about a killer clown who terrorises a small town. After the fright fest that was It, here comes the final part of this Stephen King novel. Spoilers alert! Let’s look at this nail-biting movie.

The evil clown Pennywise returns after 27 years to take his revenge on the town of Derry, Maine. We find the childhood friends - now adults, have long since gone separate ways. But when people start disappearing, Mike Hanlon calls the others home for one final stand. Damaged by scars from the past, the reunited Losers Club must conquer their deepest fears to destroy the shape-shifting Pennywise - now more powerful than ever.

This movie takes place in 2016, Maine. Adrian Mellon and his boyfriend Don Hagarty are assaulted by a group of homophobic youths. Mellon is killed and thrown from a bridge by Pennywise the Dancing Clown and as Don helplessly watches.

When Mike Hanlon hears about the incident, he rushes to the scene. He realises that "It" has re-emerged, he informs the other members of the Losers Club — Bill Denbrough, Ben Hanscom, Beverly Marsh, Richie Tozier, Eddie Kaspbrak, and Stanley Uris are needed back in Derry.

Most of them don’t remember much about their childhoods and are troubled by the calls from Mike. Despite this, they are ready to return. Stanley commits suicide after his call….as he couldn’t handle the excessive stress placed upon him.

The Losers reunite to recover their memories. However, they are sacred of the frightening visions caused by ‘It’. Richie and Eddie choose to leave, while Mike tells Bill that he met with a Native American tribe who showed him how ’It’ landed on earth. A special ritual needs to be performed – the Ritual of Chüd- it is a way of destroying ‘It’. Bill and Mike persuade Richie and Eddie to end what has started. Henry Bowers somehow survived his death and was admitted in a mental hospital but escaped with the help of ‘It’.

For the ritual to work, each Loser needs to remember the incidents that happened in their past. Each of them has to go to the place they had their disturbing thoughts. They all encounter ‘It’. The Losers make use of a shower cap from their childhood clubhouse. Stanley and Mike discover the rock that began their fight with the Bowers Gang. Bill learns that ‘It’ is going after Dean, he rushes to a carnival to save him. Unfortunately, he sees Dean being devoured by ‘It’. He returns to the Neibolt House to kill ‘It’. And the story continues…. Will they make it? Well… Watch the movie to find out!
