Michael JacksonÂ’s parents and children have revealed all about his life is a gripping interview with Oprah Winfery.

Joe Jackson finally admitted to beating all his sons, but doesn’t have any regrets stating: “It kept them out of jail and kept them right.” He added that he didn't think that Michael was afraid of him.

Michael’s mother Katherine also said: “You might as well admit it, that’s the way black people raised their children.

“He used a strap. Yes, he did use a strap.”

They also put rumours to rest about their apparent divorce, strenuously denying reports made in the papers.

Katherine also revealed that she thought her son was addicted to plastic surgery. She said: “One day he just got up and decided ‘I'm going to get my nose done. It's too big.’”

She also revealed he’s had more than two surgeries, something which the Thriller star had always maintained, and that she told him “that’s enough” when he discussed having some further reconstruction.

JackoÂ’s children also appeared on the show. Oprah asked them how they felt about having to be constantly covered with masks or veils.

Prince Michael, 13 and Paris, 12 both agreed that their father had done so so that they wouldnÂ’t be recognised when they were apart from him.
