International study reveals the sexiest accent in the world

The British accent has beaten out the wide-ranging American accent to be voted the world’s most attractive.

The British accent has been voted the sexiest in the world. More than a quarter of the 11,000 respondents from 24 cities preferred the UK accent to American accent, which came in second place followed by Irish and Australian. French, on the other hand, dropped down to fifth place.

Meanwhile, Paris was voted the most romantic city or at least the one with the “best dating scene”, ahead of Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Chicago. London came in at number six.

The survey also revealed that 58per cent of people said that they checked up on a date on social media before meeting them.

While more than half kiss on the first date, one in ten said that sex on a first date was acceptable. The majority of respondents said that they’ll probably only have sex after three or four dates.

On the other hand, 31per cent of the respondents in Sydney said that they are happy they’re single while 45per cent of singles in New York said that they’re sad about it.
