Interlink Electronics, a US-based global sensors solution provider, is currently working with the University of Strathclyde in setting up a new Scottish base in Glasgow. It also reveals plans to add personnel and resources to serve its European customers.
With the assistance of Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International and CENSIS, the firm will establish a new UK-based entity, Interlink Electronics Limited.
Steven Bronson, Chairman, President, and CEO of Interlink Electronics, said: "The establishment of our new UK footprint in Scotland is a crucial step in growing our business and supporting our important and growing European customer base.
"Expanding our technical presence in Europe will also give us access to a fresh pool of engineering talent from across the UK."
Vicki MacLean, Growth and Inward Investment Manager at Skills Development Scotland (SDS) said: “In choosing Glasgow for its base, Interlink recognises the exceptional skills and business environment we have to offer.
“SDS, as part of our Team Scotland approach, has worked with partners to help Interlink identify their skills needs and build a talented team. We will keep working with them to develop a skills pipeline to help them grow in the future.”
