Inside Out, Pixar’s latest and boldest feature is bound to be an instant classic.

 

Pixar’s wholly wonderful new animated feature Inside out has successfully explored a little girl’s mind without. The movie showcased two parallel worlds: everyday, external reality as experienced by 11-year-old Riley and what is going on in her head.

 

Riley’s moods are regulated by a team of five imps who operate in a control room behind her eyes; Joy, Anger, Disgust, Sadness, and Fear, who keep Riley in balance. More importantly, they are in charge of her memories, which are stored as little translucent marbles at the back of her mind.

 

The story follows Joy and Sadness as they try to make their way back to Headquarters to rescue Riley. It’s an epic journey across a phantasmagoric landscape.
