Contestant faints twice during bushtucker trial...
11:04 16 November 2010
Nutritionist Gillian McKeith collapsed after attempting to complete a bushtucker trial in last night's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
Viewers saw McKeith and rival Lembit Opik enter two crates, which were partially buried in the ground, for the task which aired last night.
The lid was then shut and the contestants had to escape from the boxes via an underground tunnel.
The task was complicated by both McKeith and Opik being chained up and rats and various creepy crawlies being dropped into the boxes. Water also entered the boxes, which pushed McKeith over the edge.
She began to panic and the show's doctor, Bob McCarron was called to her rescue. As she left the underground box, she fainted twice and had to be given oxygen.
Former Lib Dem MP, Opik managed to free himself and clambered through the tunnel to safety, winning the trial for his team.
Gillian is already being criticised for going onto the reality show, set in the Australian jungle, in the first place. She has revealed that she has a phobia of spiders and insects and also admitted that she has never watched the programme from start to finish before.
Catch I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! weekday evenings on ITV One.
