Hugh Jackman gave co-star Amanda Seyfried the gift of a serenade and a lap dance for the actress’ birthday during a New York screening of their latest film Les Miserables.
The blonde beauty from Mamma Mia! celebrated her 27th birthday on Monday, 3rd December. Jackman, who plays Seyfried’s father in the film, treated her to a memorable birthday gift.
After grabbing the microphone and saying, as reported by Female First: “Tonight is a special night, and I am going to sing one song. And this is a song I am not going to sing alone, because it is the birthday of Amanda Seyfried”, Jackman reportedly proceeded to sing and gyrate jokingly around the young actress.
He also joked saying: “I once gave Barbara Walters a lap dance and I promised her I would never do it again, but seeing as she is not here tonight…”
He also greeted her by referencing their father-daughter relationship in the musical. He said: “Happy Birthday, Amanda - my daughter Cosette - Seyfried.”
In an interview with Vulture.com, Seyfried, who also received a chocolate cake to mark the special occasion, said: “I was just thinking that my 27th year is probably going to be best because it was brought in in such a way that my hero, Mr Hugh, got to stretch his (vocal) cords one more time for me.”
