How you can Boost your WiFi
Boost your Wi-Fi signal by using tin foil and other household considerations.

Researchers may have found a cheap way to boost your WIFI signal, without using mesh networks.
The method involves wrapping a 3D printed reflector with a wavy design round your antennae. This will broaden the reach of the WIFI signal.
Taking into consideration that most people do not have access to a 3D printer, the researchers have stated that the wavy structure can be used by using cardboard, although the efficiency of this may not be as good.
Previous research discovered that if an aluminium can was placed behind a router, it could direct the WIFI signal. This current research is expanding on this past discovery.
Researchers considered how items in an environment can affect radio signals. An algorithm was used to optimise a 3D shape to effect specifically, wireless coverage.
Zhou, one of the researchers claimed that this simple idea, which costing as little as £26, could perform much better than its much more costly counterparts.
Other surprising household items, such as your fish tank could be messing with your Wifi speed.
We need to give careful thought as to where we place our router, because positioning it next to something as simple as a baby monitor can affect the WFI speed.
The reason for this is that items such as these, along with your TV emit similar signals to a Wifi router.
It would therefore, make sense to keep routers away from electronic devices but many people are still not doing this.
As well as electronic devices, placing the router by walls or on the top floor of the house can also have an adverse effect on the signal.
Although we rely so heavily on the internet many of us still struggle with slow connections, some people even buying replacement devices in a bid to speed the up the connection.
Most of us don't know the simple measures we can take to improve our connections.
Plugging the router into the master socket rather than an extension can give the signal a boost.
Also, it is always a possibility that if your connection is not password protected, then other people pbe using your Wifi and slowing the speed down.
It is also an idea to know which broadband service is most suitable for your home. For instance, if you are a household that streams and downloads regularly, a higher speed would be better.
