How low can you go?
EastEnders gangster Andy Hunter has Nana Moon beaten up.
10:52 13 January 2005
EastEnders badboy Andy Hunter has taken his evil-doing too far when he orders thugs to attack Alfie Moon's granny.
Nana Moon, played by Hilda Braid, 72, is roughed up in retaliation for an attack on gangster Andy by Alfie's cousins Danny and Jake Moon.
The pensioner is left battered and bruised, but is even more devastated when the thugs add insult to injury and steal her wedding ring.
However, Andy gets his comeuppance when Danny and Jake turn for help to their mentor Johnny Allen, the arch-villain himself, played by Billy Murray, 58.
When Johnny finds out that Andy has been beating up old ladies, he tells him to apologise - or else.
"Crossing Johnny Allen is very bad news for Hunter, who is humiliated on his own manor and told in no uncertain terms to return the ring and apologise," an insider told the Daily Star.
"There is little he can do about it. Allen is one of the scariest characters in the London underworld, and Andy does not want to cross him."
